About Me

I am now a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the CLU Lab, School of Information, University of Arizona, supervised by Prof. Steven Bethard and Prof. Mihai Surdeanu. Prior to that, I obtained my M.S. degree in Information Science at University of Pittsburgh in 2019.

My research interests are Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, my current research interests include:

  • Web-based Question Answering: answer verification and passage retrieval for answer sentence selection
  • Information Extraction: geocoding or toponym resolution or toponym disambiguation to choose the corresponding geospatial coordinates, geospatial polygon, or entry in a geospatial database given a textual mention of alocation.

I am also very interested in all of outdoor activities, such as hiking, camping, river tracing and so on. They can give me an completely different world. I enjoy it!
